Any one of the members of Sweaty Robot could have been a lawyer, statesmen, or captain of industry, but none of them would have been fully satisfied with the comfortable salary, 401k, and respect from their communities. That's why these young film geeks quit their jobs, putting their money where their mouths are, to produce their first feature length film, "Happy Birthday, Harris Malden," this summer. Sweaty Robot would not be happy "working in the industry" (two soy creams, no sugar, one all-natural non-fat sweetener, the blue one, not the pink,) for ten unsatisfying years, so they rely on each other's complementary talents to produce their comedic films.

Juan Cardarelli, Nick Gregorio, Ben Davidow, Matthew Sanchez, Eric Levy
These five long-time friends spent the last year developing their film-making talents, producing, directing, shooting, acting-in, and editing over fifteen short films and thirty-some episodes of their video podcast, "The Sweaty Robot Show." They have the ability to take a project from inception to completion entirely in-house thanks to their backgrounds in film, animation, graphic design, and digital media. Sweaty Robot's work has been shown on IFC, won first place at both Ruff Cutz and First Person Arts film festivals, and was spotlighted on 6 ABC's Action News' Right Now on the Net. They have been featured on many websites, such as Veoh, Geekscape, and Blip, and have feature stories in newspapers, The Philadelphia Metro, The Philadelphia Edge, and the videocast Viral on Veoh. They intend to seek theatrical distribution for "Happy Birthday, Harris Malden," only after first showing it to their parents.
